Leicester City interested in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester City are plotting a January move to re-sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea, but financial hurdles could complicate a permanent deal. According to Football Insider, the Foxes are eager to reunite with their former star, who has struggled for consistent game time under Enzo Maresca.

Dewsbury-Hall, signed by Chelsea last summer for around £30 million, has been a regular in European competitions but has clocked just 55 minutes in the Premier League. While Maresca initially viewed him as a key asset, Chelsea’s crowded squad has limited his domestic appearances.

Reports suggest the Blues are open to selling the midfielder in January, with a £30 million price tag attached. Aston Villa are also monitoring the situation, but Leicester City appear particularly keen to address the gap left in midfield since Dewsbury-Hall’s departure. Despite adding Oliver Skipp, Leicester still need a player of Dewsbury-Hall’s caliber to solidify their Premier League survival hopes.

Given Chelsea’s valuation, a loan move seems more realistic for the Foxes. Under new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, Dewsbury-Hall’s return would provide a crucial boost to Leicester’s midfield, offering creativity and stability as they aim to avoid relegation.
