Arsenal have resurrected their interest in Palmeiras midfielder Danilo, having missed out on signing him last summer, according to the Brazilian publication Bola VIP via Football London.
The 21-year-old was a top target for the Gunners before the deadline, but the Sao Paulo outfit refused to sell.
Palmeiras did not want to lose a key figure midway through their campaign.
The North Londoners will now make a fresh bid at the midway point of the campaign and there is optimism that Palmeiras will sell this time around.
The Brazilian, who could be available for a fee of somewhere around €20 million, is a defensive attacker by trade and could be seen as a potential long-term replacement for Thomas Partey at the Emirates.
Partey has been in scintillating form for the Premier League leaders this term, but the player has had a history of injuries at the club.
