Barcelona are reportedly showing interest in the highly sought after Arsenal target Ivan Fresneda form Real Valladolid, according to Fichajes.
The Blaugrana have joined the Gunners in the race to secure the signature of 18-year-old striker in the upcoming transfer window.
Fresneda made his senior debut with Real Valladolid in the Copa Del Rey against Real Betis at the age of 17. He became the first Under-18 player since Dani Vega in 2014 to train with the first team, making a name for himself at Jose Zorrilla.
With 14 appearances for Real Valladolid’s senior squad, Fresneda has caught the eye of 30 teams, including Barcelona. As the league leaders look to reinforce the right side of their defence, the Catalan giants are reportedly interested in the teenager’s services.
Barcelona are in need of reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window, having sold Hector Bellerin to Sporting CP in January. Sergi Roberto is currently the club’s only specialist right back, but other players such as Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde are better suited for the centre-back position.
Barcelona appears poised to make their move in the summer and will be hoping for Fresneda to choose them over Arsenal. With several clubs vying for the player’s signature.
