2015 Community Shield
Chelsea vs Arsenal
Sunday, 2 August, Wembley Stadium
3pm BST
A charity match to be played between the Premier League champions and the FA cup winners is going to be held just before the start of the new EPL season.
Gunners to make their fourth trip to Wembley over a year after winning both the FA Cup and the Community Shield last year.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful to continue his team’s winning momentum into the Premier League season, which starts next weekend on 8 August.
The North Londoners have a fully fit squad against Chelsea, barring Danny Welbeck, who will miss the start of the season due to his injury, and Alexis Sanchez, who is on holiday after participating in this summer’s Copa America tournament in Chile.
Meanwhile, the West London club is coming from a pre-season tour of the United States, with manager Jose Mourinho hopeful about his team’s success ahead of the new season.
A victory will boost both teams confidence for the opening day of the Premier League campaign. All eyes will be on Petr Cech, who will be making his debut for Arsenal against his former club, where he spent most of his career between the sticks.
