Tottenham Hotspur have acquired the services of 34-year-old goalkeeper Fraser Forster from Southampton on a free transfer.
Forster joins Spurs after departing the Saints following the expiration of his contract and has put pen to a paper on a two-year deal with Antonio Conte’s side.
He will replace the departing Pierluigi Gollini, with the 27-year-old Italian shot-stopper heading back to Atalanta BC after failing to make a single top flight appearance with the club.
Forster’s transfer will officially go through when his contract with the South Coast side expires on July 1.
The Englishman has made 162 appearances for the Saints in all competitions during an eight-year spell at Southampton.
✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of Fraser Forster.
Welcome to Spurs, Fraser! 💙
