Manchester United are mulling over a summer move for Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, as per Fichajes.
The 31-year-old played a significant role Morocco, reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup last year. He has also been a standout performer for his club in Andalusia for some time now.
The stopper was honoured with the prestigious Zamora award in La Liga, which recognises the league’s top goalkeeper, as his club Sevilla finished among the top four teams for the third year in a row.
Manchester United are looking for potential alternatives to David de Gea, whose contract is expiring at the end of the season, and is unlikely to be renewed.
According to reports, other potential options for United include Brentford’s David Raya and Portugal’s first-choice goalkeeper Diogo Costa. However, given Sevilla’s underwhelming season, Bounou could be the most feasible option.
