Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly placed emphasis on a new £17m bid for Bologna centre-back Takehiro Tomiyasu, according to Football Insider.
The 22-year-old Japan international was thought to have agreed personal terms over a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month, only for Spurs to prioritise a move for Cristian Romero instead.
The North Londoners are understood to be on the verge of completing a deal for Atalanta BC’s Romero, following Toby Alderweireld’s exit, while Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez’s futures also remain unclear.
The report adds that Tottenham’s most recent bid of £15.5m was rejected, but Tomiyasu wants to complete a move to the English capital should the two parties reach an agreement.
